Umbilical hernia

Our little baby girl has an umbilical hernia. Poor little peanut! I just want her to be perfect.

Why oh why does parenthood equal worrying about everything??!?!

Quinn has one too. They keep saying it will pull in once she gets some fat on her. I think it will be a permanent outie unless we do surgery. It is such a tough call. Insurance will cover it, but it is totally cosmetic, you know? I hate the idea of doing that to her. By the time she could tell us that she wants it done, insurance won't cover it. *sigh*

She *is* perfect. I totally know your pain. Our Squeak has pretty bad eczema and is uncomfortable between 5% and 95% of the time. (Currently at the low end because of the joy that is topical steroids.) And we've come to grips with the fact that he's going to have this unless it goes away (often does by 18 months) and we can figure out what his triggers are and avoid them, but it doesn't make him flawed. It's a bit different than a hernia, but just wanted to share.

And I've heard that, if your doctor agrees, often you can leave them alone and they resolve themselves by at 5. So you might just need to give your girl a chance to heal her own body. How perfect is that? :)

Poor baby girl. I know what you are feeling. Andrew has eczema and a little pee-pee problem and he had a small heart murmur in the beginning, you just wish you could protect them from ANYTHING.

Oh poor little bubba, at least it is something you can correct if need be...in the scheme of things compared to all the other things little bubs can have, its rather minor, but i know, its YOUR little girl... hang in there!

aww my daughter has one now also she was doing fine until about a week ago. I know this may sound wierd but i am glad im not alone at this i thought she was the only one. shes my second born and with my first one he had no complications but with this one short yet painful labor then a close call to NICU. i guess every child has its surprises.
