Sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells"
Thirteen weeks!
Thirteen weeks!
Thirteen weeks today!

We'll probably do the doppler again tomorrow (trying to keep it to every 3 days, but we broke that rule on Christmas morning - too good to pass up) but I'm feeling confident enough that I'll probably make Jen take a belly shot tonight. The pooch is getting out of control!

I am in love with the Tummy Sleeve from Motherhood Maternity. Okay, it's weird enough that we're going to MATERNITY stores. But hey. So the Tummy Sleeve. It's a sleeve of spandex that you can wear over your pants so that no one can see that you have your button and zipper undone. It's a miracle because now I can go back to wearing my cute, skinny pants instead of dragging out last year's fat pants that are too baggy and very unflattering. I am in mad love with the Tummy Sleeve (as seen online as the Bella Band).

We're soooooooo behind here in the UK - had to waut until I was 12 weeks for my first scan, and have to wait until I'm about 20 weeks before our doppler will work!
Once we find that heartbeat though we'll become obsessed I'm sure!!!!
Re: Tummy Sleeve.
I had never heard of these until last week! WHY OH WHY couldn't these be around (and known to me) when I could have used them?
Also, don't buy the big underwear.
Everyone else seems to do so well with the sleeve. I don't know if my bloat is just too out of control or what but it just feels tight and lumpy and I hate it. I am thinking, though, that when I break down and wear maternity pants, it will be useful for holding them up when they are still too big. And bigger preggos say they feel good and supportive when you get a big tummy.
I didn't get a lot of bloat so I haven't had that uncomfy feeling. Although I will tell you that when the sleeve starts slipping up (I have a bit of "junk in the trunk"!) it's uncomfy.
Sacha has loved her bella band at all stages so far. In the beginning it hid her unbuttoned pants, then it held up maternity pants that were still loose and now it supports her belly and hids the maternity panel on her pants when her shirts ride up (even some of the maternity ones are doing this now). She's looking forward to using it for breastfeeding too so her PP tummy isn't hanging out.
Oh and CONGRATULATIONS on 13 weeks...yay!!
