More firsts for the Little Punk!
The end of 2007 brought Punk's first Christmas. We went to South Carolina and stayed with my brother and sister-in-law. They were wonderful hosts and Punk had a good time charming the pants off of them, and beating up her Uncle Rick. My mother and her husband also live in SC, and my maternal grandmother lives a couple hours away (also in SC), so for the first time in I don't know how long, we all spent a holiday together.

There were four generations of mamas there. My maternal grandmother isn't having the best time, health-wise, and I worry that this could possibly be the first and last time. But she really enjoyed meeting the Punk and it was nice to see her in such good spirits. I hear she's been pretty down lately but she does enjoy family stuff.

Punk was spoiled with presents. Actually, we all were. But little kids, especially cute ones, always make out like bandits.

On Saturday, we gave Punk her first taste of "solid" food: brown rice cereal. It is bland as heck, but hey, she's been drinking soy formula all this time, so what does she know? I think she liked it. She had a GREAT time eating it, and since she's been watching and waiting for quite some time, she knew exactly what to do. Yum!

Next up: Punk's first New Year's Day and half-birthday, and Great-Grandpa's 90th birthday party on Saturday. Whee!
