Those 42 week people
I am so ready to just meet this baby already. Are you listening, baby?
I'm not uncomfortable, I'm not swollen, I don't have too much trouble getting around and doing stuff... I'm just ready. Impatient. Whatever you want to call it.
I have been sitting at home for two full work weeks now and let me tell you, there are only so many dishes I can do, so many bathrooms I can clean (we only have one), so many television shows I can watch before I go insane. Really and truly insane.
I am not a wait-er, I am a do-er. And right now there is nothing for me to do! So frustrating!
Kathryn and Donna had their baby girl last week. They were 8 days ahead of us and it is making me even more impatient. They had their baby... ours is going to wait forEVer. I just know in my heart that this is true. We're going to be "Those 42 Week People."
Please, let me be pleasantly surprised.

Poor you. This must feel like an eternity. You realise this wee kid of yours is never going to live it down - this is the stuff of family legends!
Here's hoping it happens sooner rather than later.
This is god's plan. If you LIKED being pregnant women would NEVER have babies. They would keep them in forever ! :)
This might help. Babies are WAY easier to babysit on the INSIDE.
That doesn't help. I know. I induced with both of my pregnancies :)
Ask your doc if you can induce on a certain date. You will probably not get to that date, but it's nice to KNOW that there is an end.
Just a suggestion.
You know, 40 weeks is a long time. We'll be at our due date on Wednesday, but I'm sure I'll see the other side. I know that there will be moments when I think, "Oh, it was easier being pregnant," and I'm sure that's true, but I want to meet my baby!
I'd really rather avoid induction whenever possible. I'm pretty sure my midwives will go the full 42 weeks, but I'm not 100% on that. I guess I'll find out if I make it that far! :)
My sister was 10 days late, and so was her son. Do you know when you were born in relation to your due date?
I was born about two weeks early. But my mom was a major chain smoker, so there's no way to know for sure what would have happened, you know?
I was also Baby #2.
My mom always said I was born early. My dad always said I was late. I did some math when I was 12 or 13 and realized I was born less than 9 months after my parents got married. I was definitely full-term and my parents' engagement lasted a year. But I did get my dad to admit to me that I was either a honeymoon baby or well... conceived a little before that... hence the possible myth of me being *early.* So, that little tidbit won't help me figure out if I'll go early or late.
Yeah, the waiting must stink. I hope it happens soon and you aren't one of those 42 week people.
